Staging the future

Essential offers its services in three separate stages or products. The research and diagnostics phase (‘SCAN’), the transition and improvement phase (‘CURE’) and the monitoring phase (‘CARE’). Each stage is distinguished by its own specifics, objectives, required effort, and duration. While each stage can be provided and executed as an independent service or project, the comprehensive CURE phase will always be preceded by an initial SCAN stage. This ensures the development of an effective strategic advice and transition plan.

SCAN

After an intake meeting in which the content of the assignment, relevant stakeholders and the objectives are determined, the Essential team starts with an elaborate analysis and diagnosis. Based on interviews with stakeholders (which may include customers or suppliers) and analysis of metrics, reports and other important data, a transition plan is drafted, detailing the proposed approach, goals, resources, required participation, and the planning and deployment of Essential advisors. This phase is carried out in a multidisciplinary effort by the full Essential partner team in 1 to 3 weeks.

CURE

One of the Essential partners will act as primary point of contact and executive advisor to guide the CEO and management team during their implementation of the transition plan. The advisor primarily acts as a sparring partner, catalyst, motivator, and evaluator. Every week, the customer case is discussed by the entire Essential partner team, assesing the results and advice, and strategy where necessary. In consultation with the client(s), additional domain experts may be deployed.

CARE

In some cases, a monitoring or after-care stage may follow the transition phase, during which Essential advisors will continue to be involved either on demand or at regular intervals, for the guidance of the CEO and the management team. Through regular assessment, sparring, and advise, we keep a company on track, monitoring ongoing growth and continuous improvement, or by carrying out specific side-projects.
